Technical / INCI name: Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5
Mixing with propylene glycol
Propylene glycol is used as a solvent and humectant in cosmetic formulations. Its ability to dissolve this SYN-COLL powder has not been verified. A mixing ratio, temperature and final pH for this powder are not yet available; do not use the earlier optional 2–3 mL propylene glycol reference as a SYN-COLL dissolution recipe.
Commercial liquid SYN-COLL is supplied in a glycerin-and-water base. Its instructions do not establish how to dissolve raw Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5 powder.
Wetting or dispersing powder is not the same as fully dissolving it. A clear-looking mixture does not establish finished-serum stability or preservation.
